Co-Founder & Managing Partner
George and Tim Morton founded Grove Capital Partners in 1998. Grove's
engagements addressed overall business strategy, corporate governance,
and capital management including capital raising and M&A advisory
engagements. Principal advisor and/or founder to companies that
revolutionized supply chain management practices within the
building/construction and furniture industries. In his capacity at
Grove George also fulfilled other assignments as CFO of a software
company, Cerego, as well as board memberships or corporate governance
assignments for such companies as; nCircle, Private Trade, and Kohlberg
& Co.
Until 1997, George was CEO of PNC Capital Markets, the investment
banking affiliate of PNC Bank Corp and an EVP, PNC Bank. George has led
securities transactions for both debt and equity in both the public and
private markets. He has held senior leadership positions in corporate
finance at Mellon Bank and Goldman Sachs & Co. George was a member
of the American Bankers Association board that advised Congress on the
repeal and rewrite of The Glass-Stegall Act. George served as an officer in the USAF. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Economics.
