Amaury Gallisa
Amaury Gallisa has over 20 years of global experience focused on
business infrastructure software. Amaury has held executive roles in
sales, marketing and distribution at Oracle, BEA Systems and most
recently at VMware participating each time in breaking through the $1B
revenue mark. When it comes to creating and building highly leveraged
solutions to the revenue creation challenge, Amaury's successful
experience is a proven asset. Currently, Amaury is a Grove Capital
Partner and is an advisor to a variety of virtualization and early
stage companies.
Amaury served as Vice President of Partner
Sales growing channel revenues from $200M to $1.3Billion in under four
years, serving in that role through VMware’s IPO in 2007. Amaury
established an extensive partner network along with strategy and
programs which contributed to 85% of VMware's revenues. Broad
relationships with the industry's largest system vendors, its top 20
global system integrators and over 5,100 resellers with 55 distributors
in over 35 countries generated VMware's robust momentum fueled by a
world class product in a growing virtualization market. According to
IDC, the virtualization market is predicted to be in excess of $20b by
2010 - a market largely created by VMware and its partners.
During 2001 to 2004, Amaury served as Vice President of Sales
Operations for BEA Systems where he led dramatic change in expansion of
business focus to new clients, lower cost sales models and the
transition from a direct sale to a distribution model . Amaury also
served on the board of nonprofit Upwardly Global, a group focused on
improving the lives of professional immigrants to the US. Amaury served
as Director for Autodesk's Western US business from 1996-1999, leading
its sales effort via an extensive dealer network serving the
engineering and architect marketplace. Amaury was part of Autodesk's
dramatic transformation from its focus on its primary product AutoCAD,
into a multi product and market segment success. From 1989-96 Amaury
led several of Oracle's international expansion, as Director of
International Sales. Amaury was also President and Managing Director of
key Oracle's subsidiaries in Latin America and was one of Oracle's
first sales and marketing executives in the region responsible for
growing revenues at a near 100% growth for 5 consecutive years.
